You can collect two types of Karma in this game: light (white) and dark (black)
It doesn't matter if you have white or black karma, you can always find a use for it. Better or damage friend's decoration - it's not only pleasant but it's profitable! You'll be able to find unique collections and some nice prizes.
Why should I need to collect Karma?
Well, you can send limited number of free gifts to your friends daily. if you want to be able to send free gifts to more friends (so that they can return favor and send gifts to you) you need to increase your light karma level. You will get this light karma warning when you reach your daily limit of sending gifts.
secondly, when you visit friends you get tokens and cookies free, from limited number of friends. if you want to get tokens and cookies free, from more friends you have to increase your dark karma. You get this dark karma warning when you reach your current limit.
you also have chance to get collection items, amulet pieces, energy items and feather decoration free by collecting karma.
You should use both light and dark karma, preferably every day, to maximize your progress in the game with respect to how many gifts you can send or receive from visiting friends every day. Your level of light karma dictates how many free gifts you can send out per day, dark karma dictates how many friends you can get bonuses (cookies and tokens) from by visitting.
How do I increase my karma level?
By visiting friends and carrying out dark/light actions in regard to their decorations.
Visit a friend that has decorations. Click on any decoration item. You will see a circle with the action counter - light action on the right and dark action on the left. Click on the icon of dark or light action - the decoration will change, and a drop of karma will fall – click it to receive karma points.
Using karma does not damage or improve the effect of the decoration. The only thing it does is let you collect karma points and give your neighbour the same type of karma points. So whenever you enter your room, make sure to click on all your own decorations. You get extra karma if anyone has improved or damaged your decoration.
LEVEL OF DECORATIONS IN THE GAME:
The decorations have levels. The highest 5 the lowest 1.
When you hover the cursor over a decoration you will see a circle on the right of the popup, this will tell you the category (level) of the decoration item. The higher the number, the more Karma you will get from clicking on it. This vase is a category 1.
Theatre curtains is Level 3 Decoration
Level of decorations remain fixed in the game and do not change. However, some decorations have two levels. The reason is, any decoration you get from Charging Collection will be Level-1 (which could otherwise be of high level), valid for 4 days and word ‘Small’ will be added with it as against the same decoration purchased from Gold.
For Example:
Chinese Mask and Small Chinese Mask are same decoration but the difference is:
Chinese Mask: purchased for Gold, Level 3, valid for 15 days
Small Chinese Mask: got from Charging Collection, Level 1, Valid for 4 days
Similarly Small Book and Book decoration, Small Bonsai Tree and Bonsai Tree decoration etc.
Level - 1 | Level - 2 | Level - 3 | Level - 4 | Level - 5 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Vase | Poster | Patchwork Quilt | Silk Pillow | English Tea |
Feather | Money Tree | Oriental Cushion | Music Player | Bird in Cage |
Small Bonsai Tree | Wind Chimes | Green Curtains | Gilded Frame | Dreamcatcher |
Pillow | Fan | Flower Blanket | Flower Garland | Antlers |
Garland | Basket | Vase with Roses | Mongolian Picture | Decorative Chain |
Small Chinese Mask | _____ | Chinese Mask | Teddy Bear | _______ |
Small Book | ____ | Chinese Lantern | Book | _______ |
Box of Chocolates | ____ | Antique Clock | Leonardo’s Model | ________ |
Candle | ______ | Oriental Curtains | ________ | _______ |
In How Many Ways A Decoration Could Be Changed By Clicking On It?
Every decoration could be changed in three different ways.
1. Improved Decoration
2. Neutral Decoration
3. Damaged Decoration
Improved decoration: you can click your own improved decoration to get light karma. your neighbors can click on your improved decoration to get dark karma and will change it from improved to neutral state.
Neutral decoration: you can not click on your own neutral decoration to get any karma. your neighbors can click on your neutral decoration to get either light or dark karma. if neighbor get light karma it will change decoration from neutral to improved state and if neighbor get dark karma it will change your decoration from neutral to damaged state.
Damaged decoration: you can click your own damaged decoration to get dark karma. your neighbors can click on your damaged decoration to get light karma and it will change the decoration from damaged to neutral state.
Notice that in first picture it says “Improved. Click here to change”
in the second picture it only says “Click here to change”
in the third picture it says “Damaged. Click here to change”
When you click on the decoration, a popup similar to this appears:
In this example, the white symbol is greyed, showing that the decoration has already been improved. You now have 2 options:
1. use dark karma to remove the improvement/break the vase
2. leave that decoration and look for somewhere else to use light /white karma, either in this room or another neighbour’s.
If you hover over the ying or yang, you are told which damage/improvement you make. This is useful when going through your friends’ rooms, you will learn to recognize when a decoration can be changed without having to click it.
HOW TO GET MAXIMUM KARMA POINTS FROM FRIENDS’ DECORATIONS:
Two points to remember to get maximum karma bonus from friends’ decorations:
1. always go to same faction friend to get light karma and opposite faction friend to get dark karma.
2. higher the level of decoration, higher the karmic points you receive.
HOW TO KNOW YOUR OWN DECORATION IS READY TO GET KARMA BONUS:
You can collect Karma from your own decoration every 6 hours. you can quickly know when your own Decoration is Ready for Karma Bonus just by looking at it. the decoration Ready for Bonus will show a Yellowish Glow around it. glow will be gone when you collect bonus and will not appear till the decoration is ready again. just a few pictures to demonstrate:
Karma points you can receive by clicking your own decoration is always more than 10 (the maximum you can get from clicking friends decorations).
Decoration Levels and Drop Down Items:
